A global exploration through community engagement that enriches your life
How It Began
History
CapAsia began in 1999 under the PolyArk program as an undergraduate field semester in Asia for the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) at Ball State University. Since then it has developed into a national program open to upper-level undergraduates and graduates from any university, and any major, with an interest in social and cultural aspects of urban and built environments.

In 2001 and 2003, it began accepting graduate students and students from other schools and (relevant) majors. Close to two hundred students from the United States have studied in Asia while participating in CapAsia
